Youth

The SAUK is dedicated to the Youth and is keen for the youth to get involved and organise events which are organised by the youth for the youth. One of the main challenges is the lack of young volunteers particularly as it is a time when many young people are focused on studies, careers or other pursuits. However, it is important that the Sindhi youth make a contribution to the community for it to progress.

In the past various Youth groups have existed and organised many events including Diwali Parties for Youth, Valentine's Ball, Quiz Nites, Dinner & Dance, Themed Nights, Drinks, Cultural talks and Debates. The focus is on both social events and cultural events.

As the Youth Age group is fairly broad. There are essentially two youth age groups.

Youth - 16 to 24 age group
The SAUK has a Youth group (Young Sindhi UK) for 16-24 age group. So, if you fit this age group and want to be a committee member or want to attend the event then contact us.

Youth - 24+ age group
Regrettably the SAUK does not have an active Youth Team. The SAUK is currently looking for volunteers a new youth group. So, if you think you can help, then contact us. So if you have the 'gift of the gab' and can sell 50 tickets in a weekend. Or maybe you are a creative talent to create fun and memorable events. Even people who think they have nothing to offer, often surprise themselves!

However, what is most important that we need people who are committed, enthusiastic and able able to work with other people in a team and above all have a sense of fun!

Youth Database

The SAUK is keen to build up a database of the youth. This is essential because when an event is organised we can inform you of events. If so drop us an email and we will add you to our database. However, do remember to update with address and email changes.

Young Sindhi UK (16-24)

Young Sindhi UK is re-launched with a new team in 2006. It should not be confused with the previous youth group of the same name, as this one is targeted for the younger starting age from 16 to 24 year olds.
